National Client Safety Agency (NPSA)
The NPSA has worked collaboratively with other organisations to examine research evidence and information on falls in hospitals and produced the report entitled ‘The third report from the Client Safety Observatory: Slips, trips and falls in hospital’. This report includes over 200,000 incidents reported to the NPSA’s National Reporting and Learning System (NRLS) in a one-year period from acute and community hospitals, and mental health units. It includes case studies, resources and practical examples of how to implement falls prevention policies and improve learning from falls:
